Delete your Loopr account
This removes your account and everything stored under it. It cannot be undone, so read the two notes below before you send the request — one of them catches most people out.
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Loopr Pro is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and cancelling is something only you can do: on iOS, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Play Store → Subscriptions. Cancel first, then come back here.
If you only want your saved routes gone, you don't need this form — Settings → Data → Clear saved routes in the app does that on the spot, and your account stays.
Request deletion
Send this from any address you like, but give us the email on the account itself — it's how we find the right record, and we'll write back to it to confirm the request came from you.
What happens next
- We email the address you gave us, within two business days, asking you to confirm. This step exists so that nobody can delete your account by typing your address into this form.
- You reply. The deletion runs within 30 days of that reply, and in practice much sooner.
- We email you once it's done. After that we have nothing left to look you up by — so if you write to us again, it will be to a stranger.
Change your mind before you confirm and you need do nothing at all: an unconfirmed request expires and the account is left alone. Simply write to privacy@apploopr.com if you'd rather say so explicitly.
What gets deleted
Deleting the account removes, from our systems and from any backup as it rotates out:
- The account record — the identifier from Apple or Google, and the email address attached to it.
- Your saved routes — names, stops, addresses and coordinates, on every device that syncs with the account.
- Your settings — anything the app stored against the account rather than on the phone.
What we can't delete
- Your subscription and its receipts. Those live with Apple or Google. Cancel through the store; refunds are theirs to grant.
- Data on your own devices. Uninstalling Loopr removes it, or use Settings → Data → Clear saved routes first.
- Records we're required to keep — a deletion request itself, for instance, is proof we honoured it. See the privacy policy for what that covers.
Prefer to email?
This form is a convenience, not the only route. Write to privacy@apploopr.com from the address on the account and say what you want deleted — it reaches the same person and is handled the same way.
